Jatukham Rammathep is a minor Hinduist deity that come from the deification of two Thai princes. This deity is historically considered as the guardin deity of the Buddha relics homed in the Stupa of Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Jatukham Rammathep is also considered to be an emanation of the Boddhisattva Avalokiteshvara (Lord of Compassion in the Buddhist tradition), as are Chenrézi and Dölma in the Tibetan tradition. The traditionnal posture of Jatukham Ramathep, with one leg unfolded is very similar to the posture of goddess green Tara.
The amulets of Jatukham Ramathep are considered to bring wealth and to help have peacefull life by overcoming any obstacles.
